8 Days Tanzania Best Family Safari is the ultimate safari experience for families with children. We do have quite a lot of experience in traveling with children and we don’t mind at all adjusting the day program while traveling. The schedule of our family safaris allows time for walking, swimming, and playing. All accommodations in our example family safari are lodges or tented lodges with a swimming pool. However, if you prefer nature camping with your kids in one of the Natural Parks (or a combination of nature camping and lodges), please contact us for a proposal. To provide you with an unforgettable experience, this safari can be done only as a private safari. The choice of accommodation available is mid-range to luxury-grade tented camps and lodges.
8 Days Tanzania Best Family Safari
DAY 1: ARUSHA– TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Tarangire National Park.
In the morning after your breakfast, the guide will drive you to Tarangire Reserve Park for a game drive. At the park’s main gate, you will stop for registration, later proceed inside and continue with animal watching.
It will take us up to the afternoon when you will stop somewhere for having our lunch. The safari game drive will take us up to the evening where we will drive back to the lodge for an overnight.
DAY 2: TARANGIRE – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today you will have a long safari from Tarangire to Serengeti Park. The two parks are connected by an ecosystem rich in wildlife all the way.
So you will have an en-route tour drive. The journey will have the option to visit Olduvai Gorge, where you will witness the history of early human evolution from the research and writing done by Dr. Leakey’s discoveries.
You will reach the main gate of Serengeti where packed lunch will be served for you. Later proceed to the park for evening tours drive before it gets dark ready for dinner and overnight to the lodge.
DAY 3-5: FULL GAME DRIVE – SERENGETI
Serengeti national park provides a chance to witness amazing scenery rich in wildlife and vegetation pattern. So by spending full two days in this park, your time of enjoyment will be incredible.
Depending on the season, you will be able to see unique movements of wildebeest search for food, water, and sometimes a safe area where they can give birth to their new calves.
DAY 6: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER
In the morning, you will have your delicious breakfast and later depart to the jungle for a morning drive. You will then start a safari to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will stop in one of the Boma where you will experience a cultural tour, after the end of this, your guide will drive on the way to your lodge. Here long resting and a hot shower will be provided overnight.
DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE MANYARA
The safari to Ngorongoro caldera will start early morning after breakfast at your lodge. Drive down to the crater for animal viewing.
Ngorongoro is often considered to be a blessed and unique area in the world by having varieties of attractions including biodiversity and historical events. It is the only area where the big five animals may be witnessed easily.
Animals watch will continue until the afternoon time, later you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8: LAKE MANYARA – ARUSHA
This is a half-day game safari in Manyara Park. Later depart to Arusha.
