Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
08:00 hrs start of Safari in Nairobi with a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley onwards to Masai Mara. En route briefly stops at the Rift Valley viewpoint where you can take photos of the stunning views of the world’s largest valley. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp depending on your booking reference. Enjoy some time at rest after which at 3.30 pm you enjoy your very first African Safari game drive exploring the scenic Masai Mara plains, allowing you to spot the unrivaled wildlife in this reserve. By 6.30 pm you return to your overnight lodge or camp. Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Masai Mara
A full day in Masai Mara ! Start the morning with an early game drive before breakfast from 630am to 9 am when you return to your lodge for breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure – you may just want to relax by the pool or perhaps book an added activity such as a nature walk or a relaxing massage depending on accommodation booked { extra activities at additional cost}. After lunch, proceed for your second afternoon to evening private game drive exploring more of the reserve’s wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
Conclude your stay in the Mara with a shorter early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Your Safari now takes you to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake that is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike. Arrive in time for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure – the lodge we book at the lake offers beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs. You may also choose to book a one-hour Lake Boat Safari at extra cost during which you get to see some of the lake’s wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru
Today you can savor a relaxed breakfast as you only need to start your journey to Lake Nakuru National park by 9 am after breakfast. Lake Nakuru is not only a Unesco World Heritage site but also a Bird & Rhino sanctuary where you also get to see Lion and Leopard. Arrive by midday and proceed to your booked accommodation for a leisurely lunch. At 3,30 pm embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints that offer superb photo opportunities. Return to the lodge/camp by 6.30 pm. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi
Rise early for a 6.30 am game drive which will conclude your Safari tour. Following breakfast and check out, you now head back to Nairobi with brief stops along the way at the Rift Valley Escarpment. Arrive in Nairobi 3 hours later. Onward drop-off transfer to the JKIA International airport for your flight home or drop off at your overnight hotel.
