Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Nakuru national park
Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your 4 days on Mara and Nakuru safari. You will also have a briefing for the Kenya safari and later start your transfer to Lake Nakuru national park. This national park is home to flamingos and also rhinos can be seen at this destination. You will also enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley during your safari in the national park. There are over 460 bird species that can be seen in this national park during a safari.
You will also see wildlife species such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, lions, warthogs, bushbucks, and leopards among others. You will have lunch at your lodge as well as dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru flamingo lodge.
Day 2; drive to Masai Mara national reserve
On the 2nd day of your 4 days Mara and Nakuru safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your drive to the famous Masai Mara national reserve. You will pass through Narok town where you can make a stopover and interact with the Maasai people on the way to Masai Mara national reserve. You will continue to your lodge where you will check in and have lunch.
After lunch at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve, you will be driven around the savannah plains as you enjoy an evening game drive as you look out for various wildlife species at the destination like the big five such as elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, and leopards. You will be driven back to your lodge after the evening game-viewing activity and dinner and overnight will be at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 3; a full day in Masai Mara national reserve
After breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve, you will move with your packed lunches for a full day of engaging in game drives around the destination. You will have both morning and afternoon game drives during your 4 days of Mara and Nakuru safari. You will enjoy seeing various wildlife species such as zebras, antelopes, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, cheetahs, topi, impalas, hyenas, lions, and leopards among others.
You will have another game drive after enjoying your lunch in the wilderness of Masai Mara national reserve while viewing the wildlife species in distant plains. Your guide will drive you around the destination on an evening game drive after lunch and later you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Sentrim Mara camp.
Day 4; Drive to Nairobi
Breakfast will be served early morning at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve as you prepare to engage in an en-route game drive to see the wildlife species which are active in the morning. After this experience, your guide will drive you back to Nairobi and drop you off at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport which will bring your 4 days Mara and Nakuru safari to an end.
