The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning “endless plains.” The park is famous for its expansive savannahs, abundant wildlife, and the Great Wildebeest Migration, during which vast herds of wildebeest and zebras move in search of fresh grazing and water.
Enjoy a game drive as you make your way towards the Seronera area, one of the Serengeti’s prime wildlife-viewing regions. The area is known for its resident lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and many other species.

Depending on the season and recent rainfall, you may also have the opportunity to observe parts of the Great Wildebeest Migration. The location of the migrating herds changes throughout the year, so your guide will select suitable areas to maximise your wildlife-viewing opportunities.
